Are inmates victims as much as they are offenders when it comes to mental health?

This morning we’re asking the questions – what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people who are marginalised by society?

It’s also Prisons Week here in the UK and, while most of us have never seen the inside of a prison, men and women across the country are confined within prisons walls which can be a lonely, isolating place – cut off from friends and family. How does this affect their mental health? Are they receiving the appropriate support that they need?
