What do you do when someone questions your faith? Do you answer confidently or do you squirm inside, unsure how to answer? Well if you’re in the latter camp – listen up, as you probably in need of a dose of apologetics. Apologetics sounds as if it means ‘apologising’ for one’s faith. The word, however, derives its meaning from the Greek ‘apologia’, meaning a ‘reasoned defence’. And later this month there’s a conference for young people to attend – to help equip them with some of life’s more pertinent questions that are often thrown at Christians. It’s called Reboot 2014 and RUTH JACKSON from The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics is here to tell us all about it.
