The invasion of Ukraine: One year later
On this day, One year ago, the western world stood still to watch as Russian forces crossed the border with Ukraine, kicking off the brutal conflict.
Since then, we have seen horrific scenes of violence but also moments of hope and compassion as Europe embraced those escaping the fighting.
