From ancient gargoyles to Victorian pews, how much do you love – or loathe – the relics in your local church? Do you wish it could modernise or do you want it to stay the same as it has for centuries?
A vicar in East Yorkshire has decided to upgrade her church by introducing famous female figures, such as the Queen, Marie Curie and the Crimean War nursing pioneer, Mary Seacole. Reverend Rebecca Lumley from St Mary’s Church in Beverly near Hull, spoke Premier’s Esther Higham to tell her more.
