One of the most special parts of the breakfast show is our prayer time first thing in the morning and I love hearing when your prayers have been answered and we try and celebrate those together, but what about the ones that aren’t?

What do we do with the harsh reality of unanswered prayer, the friend who doesn’t receive healing, the husband or wife who still hasn’t come to faith, the business that goes bankrupt? Does it mean God isn’t listening, or worse, doesn’t care?

20 years ago, Pete Greig began to write a book which grappled the problem of unanswered prayer, based on his own experience of his wife Sammy’s sudden brain tumour. God on Mute became a Christian Classic and this week Pete’s releasing an updated version. He joins us to discuss this topic.
