Inspirational Breakfast with Michael Fanstone

The Church of England has published new guidance to encourage the review of monuments that contain historical references to slavery and colonialism. More than 12,000 parishes and 42 cathedrals will study their monuments, and consult local communities on what action to take. Some buildings are already doing this, such as Bristol Cathedral, which is currently revising monuments related to Edward Colton. The Church of England’s Director of Churches and Cathedrals spoke with Premier’s Michael Fanstone, and explained what the new guidance is hoping to achieve.
