It’s expected a new resettlement scheme to be unveiled by the Prime Minister will focus on helping women and girls flee a Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. The Home Office has said the UK had admitted more than 3,300 Afghan interpreters, staff and their families to the UK for resettlement.
Not many details have been revealed yet but the Home Office said the resettlement scheme will be guided by the capacity of local authorities. Neil Jameson, the Director of UK Welcomes Refugees, joined Premier’s Michael Fanstone to tell us more
