Ruth, a Moabitess, married a Hebrew husband, who’d left home because of famine. But when disaster struck her family, she followed her mother in law back to the land of the Israelites. A foreigner, Ruth could expect no help, but God had a plan for her. A plan which would involve marriage and her inclusion in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. She is one of the great women in Christian history.
