At the end of World Youth Day, Pope Francis addressed hundreds of thousands of young people from all over the world. He encouraged a new generation to work for peace, reconciliation and justice. ‘God demands of us real courage, the courage to be more powerful than evil, by loving everyone, even our enemies’. 

I have to be honest and say that I’m in a fair bit of pain right now. My feet hurt, my dodgy left knee is misbehaving, and my upper body feels a lot like it’s just been run over.

This week around a million young people have been gathered in Krakow, Poland, for the World Youth Day celebrations with Pope Francis.Joanna Bogle, Anne Marie Kershaw and others, in conversation with Maria Rodrigues, share what impact these events have had on the faith of Catholic youth over the years.
